Okay...I'm having a better day than yesterday...

Filipino-Oriental Store
We found it! We had heard of it, but wasn't quite sure it existed. The one and only Filipino store in Minnesota! Just to set the record straight, there are many stores here run and owned by Pinoys, but there's only ONE grocery store. It ain't that big, but like a lil' kid on Christmas, my eyes got big when we found longanisa, pindang ("tocino" in Kapangpangan), and all the other Asian foods you just can't find anywhere else. Whoo hoo! The store itself is located in the older parts of St. Paul...it's like 'Immigrant Row'- across the street, there's a whole bunch of Korean groceries and restaurants, there's Thai, Indian, French...all in the ghetto. Had a longanisa dinner last night....YUM! We didn't go too crazy though. Now that we know where it is, no need to panic any longer. By the way, they also had Yan Yan!

Yah...feeling much better now. =)
