Where's The Tissue?!

It's already a known good that I am a crybaby. I will cry at every Hallmark commercial ever made, at the ending of "West Side Story," "Titanic," and "A Walk To Remember," at any of the "Extreme Home Makeover" with Ty Pennington, and at any Oprah show. I can make any situation a tear-jerker moment.

Did anyone watch last night's "Nick and Jessica's Tour of Duty" show? Okay, so I did miss the first hour due to the much awaited season finale of "Everwood" and the singing parts that I did see were in itself mediocre. Sorry...not that huge of a country fan, but it's all good. Brian McKnight was dope and Nick Lachey ain't so bad on the eyes. ;-) But there were a couple of reunion segments that made the dam overflow. A couple families were flown in to Iraq as a surprise and although you were just overwhelmingly happy for these people, your heart goes out to all the other troops in the audience who were wishing that it was them instead. To see the surprise in their face to the embraces and kisses...aw man, where's the tissue?!

There's also footage of Nick and Jessica's visit to different places, talking to hella troops, those who have been injured, and whatnot. And to see how appreciative these soldiers were to have these big-time celebrities take time out of their busy schedules to visit, sign autographs, and sing for them...makes me so teary-eyed! And as dingy and dopey as Jessica Simpson can get, they did a really nice thing. I'll admit that I even watch their show on VH1 and was sad (um, not so much) to hear that their run was ending. They're just hilarious, but despite all the fame and whatnot, it was great to see them do what they did.

BTW: yesterday's Oprah was all Tom Cruise. Talk about being smitten- so in love that Tom Cruise is! Can I just share a quickie about the show? In a recent article in Seventeen magazine, Katie Holmes said that when she was a little girl, she had always dreamed of marrying Tom Cruise. His response? "Well, I don't want to disappoint her." Awwwwwwww! Oh and get this....HE is the one who called HER. HE is the one who wanted to meet HER. HE is the one who is simply amazed at HER and HER accomplishments. Man oh man...how sweet is that? And let's not forget how many times he kept jumping on top of Oprah's couches or how many times he went on his knees, pumping his fist with that "Yesssss!" action going on. As ecstatic as Oprah must've been, you KNOW she was saying, dude, not the couch! LOL! It was a good episode and in the end, Tom Cruise went to the dressing room to pull her out on stage as the audience chanted her name. Although she was not prepped with makeup and hair, egads, she still looked pretty. Damn her. They make a cute couple...her being a few inches taller...too cute.
